The supporters of convicted-felon, Former-President Donald Trump have become a cult-like group of followers. In their eyes he can do no wrong... what he tells them is the truth. This is a concept that it is pretty tough for the Democratic Party, it's candidates, mainstream journalists, and smart people everywhere to get into our heads. We can say that he is lying at every opportunity. We can prove it... yet those 'ol Magabillies keep on believing. Frustrating.

Although preaching a different concept with different ideas, Trump is little different than Jesus Christ, Joseph Smith, or Jim Jones. Trump does not believe that he is God... merely carrying the message of God. He doesn't even say so in so many words, yet that is what he seems to believe and that is what many of the Christian Fundamentalist Right believe. He is saying the word of God.

Like Jim Jones, I suspect that if Trump told his followers to Drink the Koolaid...They would.

On 60 Minutes this week, there was an interview with a man who had served significant time in a federal prison for his actions on January 6, 2021. To this day he still believes that the election was stolen from Trump. I just don't understand how this can be.

What I do understand is that there are people (I talk to them everyday) who don't see this. They believe that what Trump says he is going to do will be done if he is elected and that these are better that what Kamala Harris will be doing.

IMHO, High tariffs on Chinese goods, will only make prices higher for American consumers. A border wall, even if built, won't stop illegal immigration. Letting Russia take over vast areas of the Ukraine in exchange for peace is a terrible idea... Ukraine needs to be able to defend itself from Putin's invastion.

And then the things he cannot accomplish: He will never be able to elimate the income taxation of either tips or Social Security benefits and simultaneously reduce the federal deficit to zero. He will not be able to deport tens of millions of immigrants, legal and illegal (or even a million)He will not be able to lock-up dissidents nor his enemies.

Kamala Harris, if elected, accepts that she will be reigned in by Congress. She is more progressive than the mainstream... both socially and economically... but she isn't Donald Trump and she isn't Joe Biden.

He is not an Oranged Haired Jesus he's just an Orange Haired Jim Jones. Beware of the Koolaid.
