Hunkered Down in Bremerton

Will Trump Leave?

Most of the ballots have been counted, but the final decisions have not been made. States are getting nearer the point where they need to certify their elections. Court actions are not favoring Trump. The electors cast their votes on first Monday after the second Wednesday of December ( Dec 14). Tick Tick Tick.

Trump still hasn't conceded the election, he is still not allowing any kind of transition. So what?

Did you expect a smooth transition?

The bigger question is will Trump voluntarily leave the White House on January 20. Of course he will. If I'm wrong, he deserves to be transported in irons to Guantanamo Bay.

The Secret Service won't support his staying. The new interim Attorney General who takes office at noon should have the arrest warrant prepared and be waiting at the United States Court House on Constitution Ave to get a judge's signature. This would be a clear case of Obstruction of Justice.

The Trump Kool-Aid drinkers will scream bloody murder. There is absolutely no need to attempt to appease Trump or his supporters. What are they going to do... try to deny legitimacy to the Biden presidency. Ha Ha... they are going to do that anyway. At this time there is absolutely no reason to go easy on Trump.

He stands to be indicted on various federal crimes coming out of the Mueller investigation. He will probably be indicted in New York on state charges. He is also facing several lawsuits over his personal actions. The man is in trouble unless Biden lets him off the hook.

Compounding this issue, there is a strong believe in the intelligence community that once he leaves the White House, Trump will be a huge threat to the security of the United States. He showed no regard to the protection of government classified information in public at least twice during his term. He conversed on a classified mobile phone during at dinner with Japanese Prime Minister Abe at Mar-a-Lago and he discussed classified material with Putin in Helsinki. He personally owes hundreds of millions of dollars on unsecured loans that are due in the near future. This could put the country at high-risk for Trump conveying secrets in exchange for loan forbearance.

The man needs to be put in jail
