As someone who typically supports Democratic Party candidates and more moderate ideas, here is one where the Democrats are acting stupid. The voters of Georgia's Fourteenth Congressional District elected Marjorie Taylor Greene as their representitive. By removing her from some committees Congress (the Democrats and eleven Republicans) are essentially nullifying her election in the same manner as Trump has attempted to nullify the election of Joe Biden. Just as Trump claims that Joe Biden is "too much of a socialist" the Democrats claim that she is too much of "right-wing wacko" because she believes things that are well outside of the mainstream.

She may well believe that Nancy Pelosi has committed treason and should be executed. She may well believe that several school shootings were hoaxes as were the 9-11 terrorist attacks. She may be a white supremist and an anti-semite. So what. She is entitled to free speech and the right to be stupid. The voters of the Georgia Fourteenth elected her. The Georgia Secretary State certified her election. She is entitled to serve. She is entitled to committee assignments.

If she has broken laws she should be punished. If her lawlessness is so egregious that she should be impeached.. so be it impeach her. However I haven't heard of any claims of lawlessness. I haven't heard claims that her election was rigged.

Her removal from committee assignments appears to me to be purely political. Expect when at some future point that Republicans are returned to power that Democratic Congress members who are considered "left-wing wackos" will be treated in a similar manner. I have have heard that members of "The Squad" (Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts) can expect similar treatment from a Republican majority. Pure politics - Pure stupidity.
