Accept the fact folks, there are only two things that are important to Americans and everyone else also: Money and Politics. Face it, everything else is of little import. The truth --no, Covid-19 -- no, saving lives -- no, the second amendment -- no, abortion -- no, equal rights -- not even close, science -- again, not even close. Everything comes down to Money and Politics.

Covid-19 is about Money and Politics not science. This week several of the more progressive states (California included) have changed their rules so that everyone over the 18 is now eligible for a Pfizer - Biontech booster. This is far beyond what the scientists at the Food and Drug Agency and the Centers for Disease Control have recommended based upon (as they say).. The Science. These state governments are relying on good 'ol politics. They believe that politics will make Covid-19 go away.

And they are correct.

Because they are correct, they should just declare that the Pandemic is over, all restrictions are lifted, everyone can get back to normal. I know that I am looking forward to this... I am fully vaccinated including the booster. My chances of getting Covid-19 even if I don't wear a mask (ever), don't practice any kind of social distancing, and even go on a cruise to Brazil are very low. They are not zero, as are my chances of getting the flu or Shingles or Tuberculosis or even Polio for which I have also been immunized as recommended by the CDC. I accept that, but for me and the 60% of the general population the Pandemic is already in fact over.

If President Biden declares that the Pandemic over and lifts all restrictions... most everyone will get back to normal. People who are afraid to go back to work will. Child care will once again become available. Many Supply Chain issues will be resolved with more workers. The economy will surge. President Biden's popularity will surge also as will the Democrat's chances in next year's mid-term elections.

For President Biden and the Democrats this is a win-win situation. All because of acceptance that Money and Politics is everything.

The Cherry on the Cake is that since the vast majority of supporters of Biden and other Democrats have been vaccinated, they won't be adversely affected by any resurgence of Covid-19

The losers will be those who are unvaccinated and contract Covid-19. Perhaps they have to spend spend hundreds of thousands of dollars from their own pockets for treatment and perhaps they will die. That's terrible, but that's Politics and that's Money.

For the Republicans this is a lose-lose situation. Not only will there be fewer and poorer Republican voters... but Republican leaders will look pretty stupid if they complain that the Democratic leaders are essentially giving in to what they have been asking for (demanding?) for almost two years now. Be careful what you wish for guys and girls.

To the Democratic leadership... You need to accept that Money and Politics are more important than science and Covid-19. You should declare an end to the Pandemic...Now!
