This week House of Representitives Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy held the floor of the House of Representitives for over 8 1/2 hours speaking mostly about why he should be elected Speaker during the next term (2023-2025). He clearly believes that the Republicans will have the majority at that time and that since he has done a great job as Minority Leader he deserves to be elected to the speakership.

Everyone already knew that... but did they believe it. Did you know there was another candidate?

This week, the soon to be indicted, former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows informed the press that his former boss (the soon to be indicted) Former President Donald Trump should be selected to become the Speaker of The House of Representitives.

Horror of Horrors.. Donald Trump, the most dangerous man to ever be president has the potential (real) to be elected to a position that is closer to the presidency (just two well placed AR-15 rounds away) than just about anyone else in the world. And once again the man who has never received a majority of votes from American voters in any election... Madness... Simply Madness.

Neither the United States Constituion nor House of Representitive rules require that the Speaker be a member of the House. Traditionally they have been, but traditionally a president who does not receive a majrotiy of votes from the Electoral College concedes that he is no longer President. Trump certainly hasn't followed the later tradition. Why should the House follow the former (Rhetorical ?). Minority Leader McCarthy was at least elected by his constitutents.

In this country it seems as if most of the Gun Nuts are Trump supporters. If Trump were selected as Speaker of the House...Mark My Words - the Gun Nuts will declare Open Season ... first on Vice President Kamala Harris and then on President Joe Biden.
