Putin going to G20 -- Attention Interpol and ICJ

Vladimir Putin announced this week that he will be attending the G20 summit meetings in Bali this November. This will be either a major problem for NATO or a major opportunity. It's up to us. President Biden has proposed that the other G20 nations vote Russia out of the organization as punishment. It could certainly be a media coup for Putin to show up after all the sanctions and bad press he has received in Western media. Biden is just trying to carry the sanctions one step further.

Wasted opportunity in my mind. Once his airplane leaves the protection of Russian airspace... it should be open season. If Putin is really a suspected war criminal and if he deserves a trial then he should be treated as such. Interpol agents should take him into custody in Indonesia and he should be transported to The Hague for trial. This might be the perfect opportunity for those not currently in power in Moscow to sieze power. There would clearly be a "power vacuum" in Russia if he were arrested. He would try to claim "diplomatic immunity" ha ha.

In my mind, however, it seems a bad idea for "war criminals" to stand trial (except in their home country). Putin is no exception. He does not deserve the "justice" of trial. He deserves a bullet to the head.
